The online review site and app is attemping to bring the worlds of tech and food together, by matching up some of London’s most innovative food players, with their equally inventive techy counterparts.
The one-day event will see attendees explore virtual reality culinary experiences, molecular food scanners, ice robots, instant-freezing beers and snacks made from insects.
London VR company Visualise has teamed up with Big Apple Hot Dogs to show an immersive VR New York experience, which will take people to the ‘big apple’ to give them the full flavour of New York.
Alex Shebar, Yelp London community manager, said: "Yelp is at the forefront of ways that people use tech to find the best food spots, and now we’re bringing food and tech together to discover the trends that we think people will be searching for in the future."
Last year saw Yelp host London’s first Mulled Wine Festival in Covent Garden, and a playground party and icecream festival for adults.
