The agency, formerly World Event Management, won for a conference and incentive travel programme in South Africa to celebrate the centenary of pharmaceutical client Norgine.
Its chairman Graham Keene said: “We always believed the Norgine event had all the right ingredients to do well. It was a truly emotive event for all involved and we are absolutely delighted it has been recognised.”
The event also won Gold for Best Conference or Congress Long Haul, Best Celebratory Event and Best Event Demonstrating Corporate Social Responsibility.
Other big winners at the new incarnation of the ITMA Awards, which was hosted by sports presenter Hazel Irvine and took place on 1 February at Grosvenvor House, included P&MM. The agency received four Gold trophies for two separate projects – a five-day anniversary event for Nikken and the creation of two World Cup tour buses for T-Mobile.
Eventia executive director Izania Downie said the UK led the world in creative events, adding: “These awards throw a spotlight on the intelligent and sensitive use of overseas locations, together with application of best practice in disciplines such as corporate social responsibility and evaluation of outcomes.”
