Exhibition resource portal Expo24-7 has signed an agreement with the International Association for Exhibition Management (IAEM) to cross promote its services on a global scale.

The agreement means Expo24-7 will maintain the IAEM's membership database.

It will also help run a series of on-line promotional campaigns. The portal features a search engine that covers the exhibition industry. This will be made available to IAEM members.

'By working with the IAEM, we are underlining our commitment to provide on-line services to exhibition organisers which will enhance and support their businesses,' Expo24-7 chairman Mark Shashoua said.

The IAEM membership comprises trade show organisers around the world, including the managers of 71% of US shows that consist of 2,787sqm or more.

IAEM president Steven Hacker said the alliance had been formed in response to the increasing globalisation of the events industry.

'The IAEM intends to ensure its members have every opportunity to take advantage of the new business models available to trade show organisers through the advent of the Internet,' he said. 'We are delighted to be working with Expo24-7 and feel we will be better able to serve our members through this important alliance.'

Other Expo24-7 services include partnership opportunities, website development and hosting, advertising and an in-house, wizard-driven event builder, providing a means for small exhibition organisers to get their events on-line.
