WPPL, the Wimbledon based publisher and events organiser is to stage the event, known as "The Tennis Ball".
It will be the first event of its kind to be held on the Common, which was made internationally famous by the ‘70s television program ‘The Wombles' and has the full endorsement of the area's conservators.
"The Conservators of Wimbledon Common have been seeking to increase opportunities for local residents as well as tourists and spectators to experience the Wimbledon atmosphere and make full use of the recreational facilities the Common has to offer," said Gordon Vincent the Chief Executive.
The event will feature an Astroturf floor and coverage of the tennis on giant screens. The centrepiece of the festival is a 30 by 50 metre marquee.
The Tennis Ball will run from the 25 to the 28 June with doors open from 10am to 10pm.
