The 176,000sqm centre will be car-themed with ‘pit stops’ showcasing vehicles, driving activities like Scalextrics races and special promotions for shoppers.
The free event is the first motor show at any Westfield centre in the UK. It will see the Stratford centre filled with vehicles from eco motors to supercars, as Westfield partners brands including BMW, Mini, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Tesla Motors.
Visitors will be able to try out supercars - that have crossed the US in the Gumball 3000 rally - by booking test drives taking place in the centre's car parks.
Myf Ryan, general manager of UK marketing for Westfield, said: "Drive is a true first for Westfield Stratford City. From the motor enthusiast to the family on a day out, just follow the flags from one pit stop to the next and you’ll find amazing cars, scalextric, or a new season’s wardrobe."
Some retailers including Reiss have teamed up with car brands to run competitions and promotions. Andy Rogers, brand director of Reiss, said: "Westfield has created a great opportunity for us to reach out to our consumers in a new and exciting way, showcasing Reiss alongside some of the most iconic global brands."
As reported in Event, Westfield Stratford City will also be the base for the British Olympic Association during this summer's London 2012 Olympics.
