The parks at both Westfield Stratford City and Westfield London will have artificial grass, plus a zorbing pool, ice cream stalls and calypso music. A series of special events and activities for children and families will take place from the 29 July until 4 September.
As part of the event programme, Barbados will host rum tastings, domino competitions, flower arranging, face painting and hair braiding.
Patrons can learn how to play road tennis, which is a sport that is indigenous to Barbados.
Next month, Westfield Stratford City will also host a Big Dance ‘Carnival’ style event from 13-14 August, featuring performances and workshops in salsa, samba, flamenco, capoeira, dancehall, hula hoop and bollywood. Additional activities include a dedicated booth with styling team ‘The Style Doctors’ on hand to let customers try on the latest fashion accessories.
Westfield London is also hosting the English National Ballet today (14 July) to stage a day of performances and workshops, as well as a flash-mob style celebration.
