Weekender: Meantime Beer, Hoxtoberfest, Rumfest and Calvin Klein

Experiential events this weekend include German beer festival Hoxtoberfest, Rumfest's 10th anniversary, Britain's smallest craft beer bar and an immersive perfume tunnel.

Hoxtoberfest brings a taste of Germany to East London

Visitors to East London this weekend will be surprised to find that they have ended up in Germany. Hoxtoberfest promises visitors a range of German food, beer and cocktails provided by brands such as Erdinger Weißbräu, Ritz Kola, Berliner Pilsner and Herman ze German. There will still be some traces of East London however, with additions like brass band Old Dirty Brasstards. General entry tickets are £15, or a£30 ticket will include a one litre stein of lager and food.

Rumfest celebrates 10th anniversary

While East London transforms into a beer-lovers' paradise, the ILEC Conference Centre near Earls Court will become immersed in everything rum. Rumfest is the world’s largest rum festival, and this year will feature interactive worskshops and tasting sessions from El Dorado, Mount Gay and Diplomatico, as well as a presentation from Foursquare Rum Distillery. There will also be a Carnival Hour, featuring live music and dancing.

Meantime Beer opens Britain's smallest craft beer bar

North Greenwhich welcomes the 'Make Time For It' craft beer bar, created by Meantime Beer, measuring just 6ft by 8ft, which is smaller than a snooker table. Entry is free and members of the public can pre-book a time slot or simply turn up on the day to experience the bar. A free beer of the guest's choice will be on offer, and they will leave with a bespoke bottle of Pale Ale. The aim behind the bar is to encourage guests to take a break from their busy lives.

Calvin Klein's immersive perfume tunnel

Calvin Klein brings its sensory perfume tunnel to Liverpool this weekend in celebration of its perfume Deep Euphoria. The tunnel's intention is to allow guests to explore their fantasies and unlock a world of deep euphoria as they are guided through the tunnel's four experiential rooms. The perfume's ingredients will be displayed on the walls of the 'olfactory room', and a diffuser will be on site to bring the scent to life. A retail room will give visitors the chance to purchase the scent, should they like what they smell.
