Cowes Week

Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, one of the longest-running regattas in the world, kicks off on the Isle of Wight on 6 August for eight days, with brand activations from the likes of Volvo, Nyetimber and Fever-Tree.

Check out Nyetimber's Routemaster bus bar, Volvo's racetrack and sailing simulator and Fever-Tree’s Ultimate Gin and Tonic Bar.

King's Cross Sports Day

Granary Square and Lewis Cubbitt Square at King's Cross will host family-friendly sporting activities on 6 August to celebrate the start of the Olympic Games. Practice your best downward-facing dog at one of the yoga sessions, or have a go at rock-climbing, tightrope walking or a bootcamp class. There's also a few traditional sports day events such as sack racing and an egg and spoon race.

Sportswear brand Nike will be supporting running tours to promote the opening of its new King's Boulevard shop in King's Cross.

BBC Countryfile Live

More than 750 exhibitors and 300-plus performers will head to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire from 4-7 August for BBC Countryfile Live. The National Trust will be bringing highlights from its '50 things to do before you’re 11¾' activities list to enable children to try outdoorsy activities, such as tree-climbing, den building and bug hunting.
