ITE Group has appointed Stephen Warshaw as its new chief executive. He took over the role from Lawrie Lewis on 22 October. Lewis had been chairman and chief executive since Nigel Stapleton resigned from the post after only three months. Warshaw joins ITE from his role as managing director of Veronis Suhler International, the European subsidiary of Veronis Suhler & Associates (VSA). In November last year, VSA bought a 17% stake in ITE. Warshaw is ITE’s fourth chief executive in just over two years. He spent seven years at Reed Elsevier and was managing director at Getty Images prior to joining Veronis Suhler International. Lawrie Lewis, who becomes non-executive chairman, believes ITE has found its permanent chief executive. “He’s been following our company for more than a year now and was my first choice before the appointment of Stapleton. Warshaw speaks Russian and Turkish and is highly intelligent,” Lewis said. ITE is due to publish its financial results for the year ending September in early December. “Our share price will tell you we won’t be making a huge profit but we are trading in line with expectations and I’m confident we have turned the corner in the Turkish market,” Lewis said.
