Virgin Holidays offers Caribbean escapes in suitcase competition

Virgin Holidays and agency RPM have devised a roadshow that rewards those who take part in the brand's suitcase packing competition.

Launching at Westfield London this weekend (15-16 August) the #PackMoreMojo experience will see three participants compete against each other to pack their own suitcase.

They will be given just one minute to fill the suitcase with contents that weigh as close to 23 kilograms as possible.

The winner from each three-person heat will be added to a leader board, which includes the names of the top 10 contestants.

At the end of the two-day experience, a Caribbean holiday will be awarded to the individual who is closest to the weight.

The competition area will feature a photo booth complete with Caribbean-themed props, and those who share their snaps on social media using the #PackMoreMojo hashtag will go in the draw to win a holiday to Mexico.

A ‘Luggage Tags’ competition will also take place during each event, where anyone who makes an inquiry at Virgin Holidays stores will be in with a chance to win £2,000 spending money towards their next trip with the company.

Virgin Holidays is giving a total of five holidays away, one for each location that the tour will visit. Winners will receive a trip to one of five Caribbean destinations – Aruba, Barbados, Grenada, Antigua or Tobago.

"With the help of RPM and our #PackMoreMojo interactive event we hope to bring some Virgin Holidays fun to the weekend."

"The retail landscape is becoming ever more competitive and this campaign aims to get people out and about, into the Virgin Holiday stores whilst giving the customer a real chance of making a luxury holiday become a reality."

  • Manchester Trafford Centre – 5-6 September
  • Birmingham Bullring – 12-13 September 

In other Virgin related travel news, Virgin Atlantic has teamed up with Delta Air Lines to open an aviation-themed venue, NY-LON at The O2, meanwhile in June the brand devised a telepathy stunt to celebrate the partnership.
