Video exclusive: Highlights from the final of The Eventice

This year's industry Apprentice-style competition, The Eventice, was held at Confex in Excel last week, and Event has video highlights from the final.

Across the three days of International Confex, 12 final year event management students took part in a number of tasks organised by team building firm Bluehat in an attempt to win a job at George P Johnson or Tarsus.

The competition, created by ESP Recruitment and Event, saw George P Johnson, Tarsus and ESP whittle the 12 down to five.

The famous five then had to indivdually present for five minutes on their passion and what they saw as the future of the event industry.

These presentations were held on Event's Haymarket Hub in the show on the last day (8 March) and were judged by Kevin Jackson from George P Johnson, Alison Wills from Brand Events, James Mark from Excel and Richard Foulkes from Imagination.

After some great performances Tarsus chose Abi Cozens for the job on offer at their firm and George P Johnson chose Peter Hunt.

Having now established itself as the best way for event management students to enter the industry workforce, The Eventice is set to return next year and we are already looking for companies willing to offer jobs for 2013's version of the competition.

Any industry companies willing to offer a job to the cream of the event management graduates please send Event an email here.
