Leading venue and corporate hospitality companies have started to take bookings for Christmas events. The Millennium Dome, BBC Experience and Mask Entertainments are among the companies fighting to win business for the festive season.
'I think the number of bookings will stay the same as last year. But there has been more competition as more clients are looking for alternative Christmas venues,' said Mask managing director Arthur Somerset.
Mask is offering a range of themed parties across London, including a 'Greased Lightning' party at Shoreditch Town Hall and 'The Big Easy' at the Hop Exchange.
'You now have to do something different,' added Somerset. 'We want to provide an alternative but not a replacement.'
The BBC Experience is offering 'exclusive use' of the attraction for up to 200 guests. A spokeswoman said bookings had just started and had 'attracted a lot of interest'.
The Millennium Dome's Christmas package includes dinner, served in its 'exclusive hospitality core', a discotheque plus tickets to let guests 'explore the Dome' on the day they have booked.
