The event will see performances from the Mystery Jets and Alex Vargas as support acts, and attendees will be able to sample the brand’s Goose IPA, Honkers Ale, 312 Urban Wheat Ale and Green Line Pale Ale varieties as they enter the UK market.
They can also expect to munch on dishes from Annie Mae's Mac 'n' Cheese, and will receive a free beer on arrival.
Those interested in attending the free event had just 24 hours to enter a ballot via the Goose Island website – it opened at 7am yesterday (8 March) and closed at 7am this morning (9 March).
The event, which is named after the city of Chicago's local dialling code, forms part of the brand’s broader Migration Week celebrations (10-13 March). It has been held in the US city for the last four years.
Other events to take place include Friday's (11 March) Celebration of Beer: Back to the Roots offering at the White Horse Pub in Parsons Green, where two of the company’s brewers will be on hand to talk guests through the beer varieties on offer on the day, and an all-American BBQ will be available.
Josh Smith, European brand ambassador at Goose Island Beer Co., said: "We’re stoked to be bringing a slice of Chicago culture to London with Migration Week. There’s a buzzing craft beer scene here so we can’t wait to meet fellow beer lovers and try some great-tasting beers. 312 Day is an awesome day bringing together top music, food and of course, the opportunity to try some great tasting Goose Island beers."
London Beer Week took over the capital last month. Check out our round-up of the event's best brand activations here.
