Wyatt, who will also join as an executive director, is currently chief financial officer at navigation brand TomTom NV. Robert Gray will hold on to the role until she joins in early September.
Gray joined UBM in 2009, playing a key role in steering the company through its transformation into an events and marketing services company. He will remain with the group as an executive director until the end of the year and leaves to relocate back to the US.
Tim Cobbold, chief executive of UBM, said: "Marina's excellent track record and wealth of experience will bring outstanding insight and value to the management team, as we lead UBM through the next stage of its development. I am also very pleased that we will be retaining Bob's experience within the group for the immediate future, as well as ensuring a smooth handover to Marina."
Wyatt added: "I am delighted to be joining UBM and becoming part of the leadership team. UBM's considerable potential and its compelling 'Events First' focus will make this an exciting place to be as we implement this strategy."
