Event webcast company Fluid.tv has formed a partnership with data communications and hosting com- pany KPNQWest to deliver marketing campaigns, video services and media distribution over the Internet. The joint venture was agreed after the two successfully delivered the first online conference to support the TMA exhibition in Brighton last July. Both companies will use each other’s product and service portfolios. Fluid.tv will focus on the design and construction of online events while KPNQWest will provide hosting, streaming and back-up services. “Delivering the perfect web events service requires a number of skills, from informed consultancy to creativity, but it is the quality of the IP infrastructure that provides the added guarantee of resilience, scalability and performance,” Fluid.tv director Rob Bosher said. “Partnering with KPNQ-West means we can off-load the responsibility for our bandwidth requirements and the cost of maintaining the equipment required to host our services,” he added. Fluid.tv’s clients include Telewest, BT, Phillips, Nortel Networks and TMA Ventures.
