General manager Jacquie Rogers will host the event, which has been inspired by series of successful TweetUps in the capital.
It will provide an opportunity for the North West's events professionals to network and share best practices on how to maximise the potential of the micro-blogging website.
"We are really excited to be hosting the first TweetUp North and to see how social media can benefit the events sector," said Rogers.
"Social networking can be perceived as taking away face to face interaction, but we are beginning to see new communities being created as TweetUps are organised across the country - where people who Tweet meet!"
Those interested in attending should follow the BT Convention Centre on Twitter.
