World Travel Market (WTM) is moving to Excel from Earls Court in 2002.
The show, which attracts 52,000 visitors and exhibiting personnel each year, 39% of which are from overseas, is the most prestigious business event for the travel industry.
The advisory council's decision to move to Excel follows extensive research with World Travel Market exhibitors. Advisory council chairman Lord Oxfuird said: 'Excel is the largest and most sophisticated venue in London with the first totally integrated technology and communications infrastructure in Europe. It is the kind of cutting-edge facility that WTM needs if it is to continue building on its successful track record for effective business.'
ExCel opens in London's Docklands on 20 November.
