Harry Potter’s Christmas experience

Warner Bros Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter this week unveiled its plans to host a one-off shared Christmas party in December. Guests will experience a canapé reception at the Studio Tour lobby followed by dinner in Hogwarts Great Hall. They will then embark on the remainder of the tour with festive bowl food and drinks. 

Red Bull hosts secret parties

Energy drink brand Red Bull hosted three parties in secret locations this week, with the final installment taking place last night (11 September). Designed to celebrate the arrival of the night tube, information about the location and line-up of each event was not released until 24-hours prior. The first installment featured Hudson Mohawke.

Under Armour’s Thames stunt

With the help of rugby players Jamie Roberts and Jamie Cudmore, sportswear company Under Armour sailed a 1,300 square foot shipping container down the River Thames on Monday (7 September). The vessel featured an oversized image of six rugby union players, and as it passed under Tower Bridge the players country colours were removed to reveal an Under Armour baselayer.

Penguin’s pop-up bookstore

Penguin Books launched its first-ever pop-up store at Boxpark on Tuesday (8 September), where it will remain until Sunday (13 September). Designed to celebrate the publisher’s 80th birthday, The Penguin Shop is hosting a range of experiences. Customers are able to take home limited edition free gifts and capture Penguin Polaroid selfies to win branded merchandise.

Concerto Group’s new venue finding service

Event services company, Concerto Group announced the launch of a new venue finding service, Venuseeker Black on Monday (7 September). The new online offering lists only 20 venues at once, all of which are either exclusive, secret or unusual. The new website will be officially unveiled during a breakfast launch party at London’s Cereal Killer Café on Friday (18 September).
