Jurassic World's Mosasaurus stunt, Selfridges' rooftop forest and Pepsi Max and Uber's DeLorean rides all made our roundup of the most read stories of the past week.

South Bank sees Jurassic World Mosasaurus stunt

A replica of the aquatic monster from Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World film wowed Londoners on the South Bank this week. The giant Mosasaurus was sculpted as if breaking through the Observation Point to eat a great white shark dangling from a fishing rod. The structure was created by Wild Creations and measured seven metres in height.

Selfridges’ rooftop forest

Department store Selfridges transformed the rooftop of its London store into an autumn-inspired forest this week. The Forest Restaurant and Bar on the Roof opened on Wednesday (21 October), and features foliage typical of Britain’s forests, with a winter-warming menu of dishes such as hot pots, duck shepherd’s pie and Black Forest and Fancy Nogg beverages.

Stylist Live in pictures

Activations by Ford, Swarovski and Ghd took place at the recent Stylist Live event (16-18 October). Ford teamed up with hairdressers Rush to offer braiding at its stage, while Jessica Nails offered free manicures. Swarovksi allowed visitors to try on its jewels and get their photos taken in front of its branded photo wall, while Ghd offered hair services from a catwalk show-style backstage area.

Jack Daniel’s is to celebrate the 100th birthday of Frank Sinatra with an immersive film screening at the London Edition next month. The Sinatra Century Picture House promises to transport guests back to the 1950s and ‘60s, with Ocean’s 11 to be screened on the night. The event will also feature Jack Daniel’s masterclasses.

Uber and Pepsi Max team up for DeLorean rides

Users can request the DeLorean through the Uber app

Pepsi Max and Uber teamed up to celebrate Future Day (21 October) this week, offering rides in a Back to the Future-style DeLorean. Londoners could win the chance for a ride in the car by entering a special Pepsi Max promo code when they logged into their Uber app. Pepsi Max was also provided for the journey.
