The maps, which are integrated with Facebook, allow fans to instantly connect and see where their friends are sitting.
Fans can select and purchase from available seats via the interactive seat map on the Ticketmaster website and tag themselves to their seats.
The initiative is the latest in Ticketmaster’s drive for social integration at its live events. Fans can already confirm their attendance at events via Facebook and share that information with friends.
"By extending our event rsvp functionality to our interactive maps, we are delivering a social experience for our consumers, extending consumer interaction," said Chris Edmonds, managing director of Ticketmaster UK.
"Consumers also have full control over the information they’re sharing. If they want to tag themselves into seats they can select whether to share that information with their Facebook friends or with the wider community," he added.
Ticketmaster currently has more than 1,000 interactive seat maps available in the UK.
