Tetra, which manufactures fish food and aquarium products, will set up a custom-built aquatic installation that will house turtles, catfish, red crabs and angel fish alongside a host of other species and plant life.

Visitors will be able to relax on comfortable seating and listen to therapeutic underwater sounds in an aquarium-inspired environment, which will be created using water projections, special effect lighting, plants and the scent of herbal tea.

The brand aims to inject an element of calm into the chaos of the daily underground commute.

The space will offer a number of events throughout the week including mindfulness drop-in sessions and a day for families where children can learn about the fish on display such as the pig-nosed turtle, take part in a treasure hunt and have their face painted.

Tetra has teamed up with monthly publication Practical Fishkeeping to run a series of exclusive workshops for readers. Tetra’s in-house expert will be educating attendees on a range of subjects from setting up an aquarium to aquascaping and managing disease.

Local businesses can also book the space for meetings from 12-15 September.

The Tetra Tranquillity Tank runs from 8-15 September, opening at 7am until 7pm on weekdays and 9am until 5pm at the weekend.

This week Ikea announced that it would be hosting a DIY restaurant pop-up and Abel and Cole will open its first pop-up restaurant at The Brickhouse in London.
