The new show means that visitors will have the chance to enjoy the best of both experiences in one place.
Oceans Festival will be curated by Telegraph Events and will take place from 16-19 February 2017 at ExCeL London. It will feature special guest speakers – including biologists and dive experts – activities such as LIDS Try Dive Pool, and Incredible Oceans Live virtual reality experiences.
Organisations from the scuba, travel and conservation worlds will also be exhibiting, presenting an opportunity for dive enthusiasts and families to get their hands on new gear and to find out more about exploring the world’s oceans.
Those visiting the Oceans Festival will also get access to the Outdoor Adventure & Camping Show, the London Bike Show and the Triathlon Show: London. All of these events will take place over February half-term and will be hosted at London’s ExCeL.
Steve Clark, group show director at Telegraph Events, said:"Telegraph Events is well known for launching and refreshing events that visitors love, and this exciting combination of the London International Dive Show and WhaleFest is no exception. We look forward to working closely with exhibitors and partners to build Oceans Festival into the annual celebration of our oceans."
Nigel Eaton, managing director of Dive Shows, added:"Oceans Festival provides an exciting opportunity to grow the sport of diving in the UK. It brings an added educational aspect to the ever popular London International Dive Show, and gives visitors access to special guest experts and the opportunity to try diving."
In 2014, Telegraph Events formed a partnership with Whalefest to create a pop-up event at The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show.
