"We are expecting up to 35,000 visitors over the four days and have already had great feedback from exhibitors who are also taking advantage of the shopping experience," said Taste festival director Justin Clarke.

"The 14,000sqm show features 185 exhibitors which is usually the number of exhibitors expected during the second year of a show. We also had to increase the Gordon Ramsay Christmas Theatre to provide 2,500 seats rather than the original 1,500 seats (Arena Seating provided the seats)."

The three main elements of the show provide shopping, eating and live elements. It also has a VIP offering and corporate hospitality dining areas.

Waitrose exhibited at the show as well as supporting the Tante Marie Christmas Cookery School Theatre. Its buyer for seasonal confectionary, gift foods, hampers, biscuits and snacks Greg Sehringer said: "Taste of Christmas has a good target audience and it has been great to interact directly with customers about our brand."

Restaurants at the show include Maze, Boxwood and the Narrow. Cookery demonstrations take place at the Gordon Ramsay Christmas Theatre with Ramsay himself and Mark Sargeant and Olly Smith.

There is also a Gordon's spirit and wine experience, providing visitors with advice on creating festive drinks and wine tasting.

The wide array of shopping stalls showcases a range of products from Christmas decorations, chocolate, bread and knives.
