Three of Intex’s exhibitions will be managed by Tarsus for an initial period of 20 years, including Oral Care China and China Aid. Intex will help manage Tarsus’s debut anti-ageing exhibitions in China, planned following its purchase of US-based organiser MCII (Event, January) for later this year.
Tarsus group managing director Douglas Emslie said: “The partnership not only extends our sector presence but, importantly, strengthens our management structure in the region.”
Intex owns and manages the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre and venues in Ningbo and Zhengzhou. Tarsus reported a 27% rise in pre-tax profits to £7m for the year ended 31 December.
