Sprout scoops three gongs

Agency Sprout won a hat trick of trophies at the Eventia Corporate Event Awards on 30 November at The Hurlingham Club, London.

Its first award was for Production Agency of the Year. Sprout was rewarded for a host of 2006 projects that included the Land Rover Freelander launch on the eve of the British International Motor Show from 20-30 July.

The event involved transforming the Delfina Gallery into a club with white carpet and panoramic visuals shone onto white walls. The Land Rover Freelander launch also won Sprout the Product Launch of the Year trophy.

Sprout’s final award was for Party of the Year. Wonderland was created for a management consultancy and held in a temporary structure for 600 guests at the Royal Hospital Gardens Chelsea. The staff event featured a dressing room with a mix of dressing-up clothes for guests to change into. Guests arrived by coach and were then transported to the venue in rickshaws.

Sprout managing director Joe Macgregor said: “Winning Production Agency of the Year was the icing on the cake. It is the fourth time we have won the award either at the CEA or Event Awards over six years, which is a great achievement. Also it was amazing to have our work recognised for Product Launch and Party of the Year, as both categories were hotly contested.”

The main Gold Award went to Knebworth House, which had earlier won Best Use of a Venue’s Facilities for Hedgestock, a three-day conference and networking event for the hedge fund community. The theme was based on the 1960s Woodstock festival, with champagne tents and beach huts.
