Speed stunt is flash of genius for mobile firm

Agency Cunning produced an internal communications guerrilla campaign for mobile phone operator T-Mobile last month that aimed to involve staff in the launch of its U-Fix tariff service.

Speed cameras in the T-Mobile brand colours were placed in staff car parks at major sites across the UK and flashed at cars as they passed.

Staff were then issued with T-Mobile-branded speeding tickets with information on the new tariff when they arrived at work.

"The employee reaction proved how effective this campaign was as the speed cameras had high visibility and got everyone talking," said T-Mobile UK marketing director Phil Chapman.

The activity is part of a larger T-Mobile ad campaign.
