Spearhead has been bought by its management team from owner PGI for £10m. The deal was led by venture capital firm Lloyds TSB Development Capital. The London exhibition organiser is to be headed by chief executive Bob Munton. The company organises international trade shows and specialises in the offshore oil and gas, defence, ocean technology and aerospace sectors. “The six years spent as part of the corporate communication agency PGI were exciting, but our future represents a return to what we do best,” said Munton. “Our management team has worked together for the past 20 years, developing our portfolio to the focused series of international shows that we now own.”
