The first phase of Telford International Centre's (TIC)
redevelopment programme has added more than 1,400 sq m of extra
The new space, which will be used for storage unless required by
exhibitors, cost about £460,000. Improvements have also been
carried out in two of the centre's exhibition halls.
"The halls were originally designed as sports halls, not as exhibition
halls and there was a restricted number of power points, mainly around
the edge of the halls," TIC technical director Gerald Salt said. "We
have now introduced ducting channels under the floor in halls one and
two, which means our clients have easy access for water and electricity
connections throughout the buildings."
