The hire comes as part of Space’s growth strategy, which will capitalise on a number of recent client wins such as Vapestick and Thorpe Park. Spary’s remit will include developing relationships with prospective clients and securing new contracts with high-profile brands.

Spary joins the 25-strong team at Space from out-of-home agency Curb. He has also worked for Billington Carmell, where he was instrumental to the agency’s growth, and experiential agency Sense, where he worked for five years in business development.

Jason Nicholas, joint managing partner at Space, said: "Jon is a seasoned new business operator with a track record of securing fantastic new opportunities in highly respected agencies.

"Having worked together previously, I’m pleased to be teaming up with Jon again as Space continues to invest in its future. His new business acumen is exactly what is required here as we embark on the next phase of our development."

Spary added: "Space is at the cutting edge of innovation in marketing – using science, art, music and technology to deliver killer ideas and build brand intimacy for clients. I’m looking forward to driving a sustained push that will build on recent successes as Space continues delivering world-class creativity to new and existing clients."
