Slice wins contract to produce nationwide Ghd experiential campaign

Slice Events is to create a nationwide experiential tour for hair specialist Ghd that will visit 17 cities over a five week period.

The campaign, which is titled Make Waves this Summer, aims to bring the popular hair brand to life in cities that include Brighton, Bournemouth and Blackpool.

The tour will allow consumers the opportunity to have their hair created by a professional stylist using a styler from Ghd’s exciting colour collection. Specifically, a team of stylists will also be demonstrating how to achieve the on-trend matt, textured wave with ghd stylers. Every participant will also receive a free ‘black orchid’ hair clip. 

Slice has produced a luxury branded vehicle that operates as a mobile hair styling salon, supported by a team of brand ambassadors and local salon stylists. In addition, consumers will be invited to enter an exclusive prize draw to win an all expenses-paid trip to Hawaii.

Ghd UK marketing manager Liz Bryne, said: "The Making Waves tour is a great way for us to be able to demonstrate the flexibility and ease of use of ghd stylers, and the campaign is really resonating with our target consumers."

Slice is working on the campaign alongside partner agency PAA.
