Six Halloween experiences for 31 October

No longer confined to suburban streets of the US, Halloween is providing brands and venues with a prime immersive platform. Here are six of Event's favourite spooky experiences.

Cubanisto's House of Mask

AB InBev brand Cubanisto will be wrapping its House of Mask event series with a Halloween party in The O2’s Brooklyn Bowl. The party promises a 'night of intrigue and discovery in the dark' where the curious will be rewarded. 

Laura Salway, senior brand manager at Cubanisto, said: "House of Mask is about creating an experience that allows you to revel in the unexpected. We’re heading back to London on Halloween, one of the most thrilling nights of the year, with an immersive experience combining music, art and other standout festivities."

Tesco Spookermarket

Tesco partnered with BBH’s production arm Black Sheep Studios to create a spooky stunt for its customers. Hidden cameras caught the reactions of shoppers as they fell foul a number of pranks, such as trollies moving on their own and creepy heads hiding in the toilet roll aisle. 

The film leads the supermarket’s Halloween campaign, which also includes instructional online videos on how to create scary costumes.

Sea Life London – Snorkelling with Sharks in the Dark

For something a little less spooky and a little more downright terrifying, The London Sea Life Aquarium is giving visitors the chance to 'go face to fin' with more than 15 sharks from today (29 October) until Saturday (31 October). 

Swimmers will be submerged beneath the water in a specially designed mesh enclosure, and will be equipped with explorer-style red light torches. The experience also includes priority admission to Sea Life for the day.

House of the Dead

'Dark entertainment company' House of the Dead has produced a new immersive scare attraction in Manchester. Open until Sunday (1 November), House of the Dead features horror movie inspired sets across two floors.

Guests are guided through the twisting corridors in 40 minutes. The experience took two months to build ahead of its opening on 3 October. 

Dark Arts at Warner Bros Studio London

Warner Bros’ permanent magical brand experience, The Making of Harry Potter, is giving fans of the franchise the chance to explore the dark arts. Guests will be able to learn wand combat moves with battle scene choreographer Paul Harris, and spot Dementors in a darkened, spooky version of Diagon Alley.

Open until Sunday (1 November), the experience also features a tour of the Great Hall dressed with pumpkins and cauldrons for Halloween, and darker artefacts from the movies, such as the gnarled Hand of Glory.

Kiss Haunted House Party at the SSE Arena

Radio station Kiss FM is celebrating Halloween with its Haunted House Party at the SSE Arena Wembley tonight (29 October). Guests are encouraged to arrive in fancy dress, although the brand has stated the night’s 'scary level' on a scale of one to ten will be ranked as a mere seven.

Rita Ora, Years & Years, Little Mix and Rudimental will perform among others.
