The Fleet-based event design provider will also be providing its services for forthcoming events at the FIVE (Farnborough International Venue and Events), a 3,000sqm permanent event venue and 100,000sqm outdoor space.
Showplans will be tasked with the floorplanning management for the five-day Farnborough International Airshow trade event on 14 to 20 July. The event then opens up to the public as part of a two-day show (Farnborough Airshow) on 19 and 20 July and expects to attract more than 100,000 visitors.
Grahame Jones, chief operating officer at Farnborough International, said: "Showplans' modern approach was an important factor in the decision to engage their services. Working with a detail-oriented specialist like Showplans brings us unique services such as their interactive 3D mapping system, helping to keep the show at the forefront of technology operationally, which is where we want to be."
Adam Jones, chief executive of Showplans, added: "The Farnborough International Airshow is a very prestigious brand in the events calendar and it’s testament to our hard work, technical knowledge and forward thinking that we have been chosen to undertake such an important role in the show and Farnborough International's other commercial activities."
