Show visitors learn of new name for NTL

NTL Broadcast has changed its name to Arqiva following its acquisition by MacQuarie Communications Infrastructure Group.

Arqiva unveiled the rebrand at the Broadcast Production Show, staged at Earls Court from 1-3 June, in preparation for brand activity such as the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, formerly known as the NTLs, which took place on 24 June at the InterContinental hotel near London's Hyde Park.

Arqiva created a Channel Lounge at the show to advise companies looking to launch television channels. Visitors to the Broadcast Production Show totalled 9,422 - a 19% rise compared with the 2004 event held at Olympia.

Out of 230 exhibitors, more than 80 have rebooked for next year's event, which will run from 30 May - 1 June.
