Show downsizes due to lack of sponsorship

The Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society (RIWAS) Show has been scaled down due to a lack of corporate sponsors.

The Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society (RIWAS) Show has been scaled down due to a lack of corporate sponsors. The show will now take place from 19-20 July at the Northwood Showground, with just two main areas – the Horse Show and Livestock Show. RIWAS chairman Sharon Peach said: “We had to cancel the entertainment area of the show because we didn’t have corporate sponsors. As we are a charity we could not put on an event that wouldn’t make any money.” The entertainment section would have included highlights such as a motorbike display and sheep show.
