Service Graphics cuts out Photobition name

The directors of Service Graphics are to permanently drop the Photobition name from their company.

The directors of Service Graphics are to permanently drop the Photobition name from their company. The seven divisions of Service Graphics will revert to their original trading names, including Jupiterdisplay and Leadesign, and will stretch across 12 sites. Service Graphics head of marketing Rob Kelly said: “We felt that the pressure was too great, and it had become apparent that the Photobition name had been damaged so much that it simply wasn’t viable to continue to use it. And we thought it was better to change it quickly.” Kelly confirmed the new company was looking forward to moving on from the troubles of last year. “I think our customers that know us are feeling a lot safer and more comfortable now that they can see we are continuing with business as usual. At the moment we are in a traditionally quiet period, but it’s no quieter than normal. I don’t feel we’ve been badly affected and our experience and expertise will stand us in good stead.” Kelly also confirmed that the new company was on the verge of landing a £1m contract. Service Graphics was formed after Charlie Reed, Ben Moss and Paul Green staged a management buy-out of Photobition’s UK graphic display business when US parent company Photobition went into receivership towards the end of last year (Marketing Event, Nov/Dec).
