Samsung and O2 launch experiential Christmas bus tour

Samsung and O2 are working with brand experience agency Undercurrent on a two-week experiential bus tour of the UK to showcase the brands' products in the lead up to Christmas.

The Samsung and O2-branded double decker bus will start its journey from Lakeside shopping centre in Essex and will visit seven destinations, including Westfield in Stratford City and Shepherds Bush, the Bullring in Birmingham and ending at Manchester's The Trafford Centre on 8 December.

The #O2SamsungSleigh will showcase Samsung's latest mobiles, tablets and wearables, as well as various offers that are available in O2 stores.

On the tour, there will be festive treats and a number of activities, including performances from a Christmas choir, Christmas card-making sessions, and a photobooth with festive props to make sure visitors take away a memento from the experience. Photo booth hire company Megabooth has collaborated with Undercurrent to build the latter installation.

Earlier this year, Undercurrent worked on an eight-week campaign with Samsung that also involved a branded double decker bus tour to showcase the brand's family and student deals. The bus featured a fully-functioning playground that used kinetic energy to charge visitors’ mobile phones. Undercurrent has also worked with Samsung and Talk Talk.

28th November: Surreys Quays
29th November: West Quay – Southampton
30th November: Westfield – Stratford City and Shepherds Bush
4th December: Merry Hill – West Midlands
5th December: Lower Precinct – Coventry
7th December: Bullring – Birmingham
8th December: The Trafford Centre – Manchester

Samsung also partnered with John Lewis this month as part of its in-store Monty's Den activations, inspired by the brand's Christmas advert.
