RPM's experiential Strongbow bar at V festival: in pictures

Agency RPM has told Event that festivals attract a great audience for experiential marketing campaigns and that this was the thinking behind the creation of Strongbow's Bowtime Bar at last weekend's V Festival.

As reported last week (21 Aug), The Strongbow Bowtime bar, an experiential area pitched as a reward for hard working people, included a dance floor, a Secret Garden and a bar.

Acts including Kissy Sell Out, Jon Carter, High Contrast and Sinden & Tayo performed in the space.

"One of the challenges was keeping the large quantity of Strongbow at below three degrees," said RPM director Dom Robertson.

"People were Twittering about the bar beforehand. It was a real destination. Festival crowds are great because people are there for the right reason, to have fun. It is a great opportunity for face-to-face marketing."

The Bowtime Bar, based on a concept by brewer Scottish & Newcastle, was also present at the Isle of Wight Festival in June this year.
