Camden Beach will be created in the 900sqm outdoor space from 11am to 11pm every day for July and August.
It will be dressed with sand, beach huts, deck chairs and palm trees, incorporating drinks and ice cream outlets and a barbeque.
Heather Walker, deputy chief executive of the Roundhouse, said: "We are creating Camden Beach in July and August to open up the Roundhouse's rooftop terrace to the whole of London. Guests can watch the sports coverage while enjoying the grill prepared by the Roundhouse's own chefs from our Made in Camden venue."
Visitors will be given the opportunity to relax and watch the Olympics on a large screen for the bigger sporting events as well as participate in games such as beach cricket, a volley-ball challenge, boules and a table tennis table.
The space can also be hired for prviate events.
