Rapport Events increase revenues by a third despite economic gloom

Agency Rapport Events has reported a second successful year in business, despite the bleak economic outlook.

Turnover has risen 31 per cent from £1.5m to £2.2m for the Manchester-based company as it moves into 2009.

Over the past 12 months Rapport has won a series of high profile accounts for clients such as Bank of Scotland Corporate, AstraZeneca, Nord Anglia and high street fashion label Per Una.

In 2008 the agency also produced the North West Development Agency's Tourism Awards at St George's Hall in Liverpool, having been appointed to the agency's event management panel after a lengthy tender process involving 50 companies.

"Although 2009 will undoubtedly be challenging for businesses, effective communication is paramount," said Rapport director Chris Teague. "We are perfectly positioned to help clients meet their objectives in 2009."
