Queen to be projected onto Buckingham Palace

The Projection Studio has been tasked with projecting the world's largest collection of self-portraits onto Buckingham Palace.

The portraits, when compiled by Ross Ashton of The Projection Studio, will form an image of the Queen that will be 3D projection mapped onto Buckingham Palace from 19 April.

The Face Britain event is being run by The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts, and forms part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Children and young people aged between 4 and 16 have until 31 March to create a self-portrait for the project.

The project is a Guinness World Record attempt to create the world’s largest collaborative artwork. At least 28,267 images are needed to break the record.
