The Essential Conference DDR compliments the Smaller Meeting Day Delegate Rate that was introduced by the QEIICC earlier this year. This rate is from £65 and is targeted at organisers of smaller meetings, such as board meetings, training courses, seminars and workshops for 2 to 110 delegates. The rate allows organisers to take advantage of the central London venue’s fourth-floor rooms and benefit from its high-tech facilities, experienced staff and award-winning catering from Leith’s at the Centre.
The smaller meetings DDR was launched in response to requests from clients and reflects the trend for smaller meetings - as identified in the Convention 2020 strategic foresight study unveiled at The QEIICC earlier this year.
Phase one of the research revealed that 79% of event planners expect growth in smaller, more specialist meetings over the coming decade.
Sue Etherington added: "Our reputation for hosting large meetings is well known but we’ve recently seen a shift towards smaller meetings as many organisers of corporate and association meetings bring together fewer delegates for highly-specific events within different budget requirements. As a result, we’re very pleased to be broadening our offering to make our wonderful facilities and stunning location even more accessible and affordable.
"Our ongoing client satisfaction surveys show that 95% of those who have used the Centre in the past year felt they had got value for money. That has always been an important consideration for us and we’re proud to build upon it with both of our DDR initiatives."
The Smaller Meeting DDR is from £65 (plus VAT) and includes room hire between 9am and 5.30pm, use of audiovisual equipment, wireless internet, morning and afternoon refreshments, working lunch and stationery.
