Publishers are increasingly turning to live events to make money as advertising revenues fall, a survey has revealed.

The survey looked at 200 publishers and found nearly half of all publications (47%) boast a live portfolio.

In terms of future plans 53% are also considering launching virtual events in the next two years.

The survey on specialist media was backed by InPublishing, PPA, University of Leicester and Wessenden Marketing. It was carried out by eDigitalResearch ahead of the Specialist Media Show on 25 May at Exec Peterborough.
