Emap divisional managing director David Metcalfe said: "This month's Professional Beauty show will follow the same format with the same team, but be reinforced by Emap's operations team. Emap is putting more resources into the smooth running of the event, which is an excellent piece of business.
"Professional Beauty also offers a strong addition to Emap's retail and fashion shows, Pure, Spring and Autumn fairs, and Premier Kids. The company is very pleased with the acquisition, and looks forward to the benefit to the market in general."
Emap TPS also announced the launch of contemporary home and gift show Summer Fair London. The show will take place at Excel from 17-20 June, between Emap's Spring and Autumn Fairs.
Emap TPS managing director Alison Jackson said: "As one of the world's leading retail capitals, international and exhibitors require a London event of this scale, at which to write business and preview trends. Summer Fair London answers that need and will sit shoulder to shoulder with the other major European events on the buying circuit."
Summer Fair will be headed up by Emap Retail and TPS group exhibition director Louise Young. She said: "We are working with many key industry partners ranging from Elle Decoration to the Giftware Association (GA) to ensure that Summer Fair not only leads the market but that it is very much the hub of the mid-year buying season.
"Working with the GA is an excellent example of how Summer Fair is considered integral to the industry."
The GA has moved its Gift of the Year awards to coincide with the Summer Fair. The event takes place on 19 June at Grosvenor House in London.
