THE VENUE - LISA HATSWELL, CHAIRMAN, UNIQUE VENUES OF LONDON (UVL)
How many times have you exhibited at RSVP? We have supported the show since it began and look forward to exhibiting again this year. How successful was last year's show for you? We had a very busy show with lots of interest amounting to 300 leads. What is your focus for this year's show? To showcase all our new members and highlight how UVL offers individuality, providing choice for organisers who want an exceptional venue. What do you hope to achieve at this year's event? To raise the profile of the UVL brand and ensure we continue to remind people about the number of unique venues London has to offer. What are you looking forward to most of all? Meeting new clients and showing off our award-winning brochure. It highlights venues ranging from the small and intimate, such as The Fan Museum; the unusual, including the London Wetland Centre; and the very grand, for example the Victoria and Albert Museum.
THE CATERER - DAVID WOLANSKI, MANAGING DIRECTOR, THE RECIPE
How many times have you exhibited at RSVP? This will be our second year at the exhibition. How successful was last year's show for you? Financially we had a good return on our investment, but also on a marketing front it was a great success because - as a new company - it was the perfect way to meet people in the industry and showcase our service. What is your focus for this year's show? To do business. We have taken a very prominent stand and will be inviting special guests to enjoy a mini three-course tasting menu. We will also be talking to visitors about our new seasonal menus. What do you hope to achieve at this year's event? To put The Recipe on the map as a serious player in the event catering industry. To build relationships with venues in the hope of getting on approved supplier lists, and to quote corporate organisers and agencies for specific events there and then. What are you looking forward to most of all? Telling people about us winning Catering Firm of The Year at the Eventia UK Awards, and introducing them to our new senior events manager, Katy Hadcroft.
THE EVENT COMPANY - TAMARA HARRIS, SENIOR EVENTS MANAGER, FOX EVENTS
How many times have you exhibited at RSVP? This will actually be Fox Events' third consecutive year at RSVP. How successful was last year's show for you? Extremely successful. We had a constant flow of interested people and companies on our stand, and enquiries were coming in all of the time, some of which turned into bookings for us. That is, of course, the main aim and makes the show all the more worthwhile. What is your focus for this year's show? We will be showcasing and promoting our Christmas Party Nights, as well as promoting our brand and letting potential clients meet the whole team. What do you hope to achieve at this year's event? We are hoping to get a lot of interest in our Christmas Party Nights, and are aiming to turn enquiries into solid bookings. Increasing brand awareness is also at the top of our list. What are you looking forward to most of all? Meeting the clients, taking advantage of the networking opportunities available, and seeing what new and exciting products or entertainment my suppliers have to offer.
