Poor support kills Premium Travel show

Premium Travel, the Haymarket Media Group event planned for the Royal Albert Hall in May, has been scrapped because of a lack of support from the luxury travel sector.

Premium Travel, the Haymarket Media Group event planned for the Royal Albert Hall in May, has been scrapped because of a lack of support from the luxury travel sector.

Event director Dominique Gill said the two-day show had the highest number of pre-registered hosted buyers since its launch in 2005. "Every effort was made to engage new companies in order to expand, but it did not get the support required to maintain the strict appointment system each buyer undertakes to make their visit worthwhile," she added.

Meanwhile Haymarket is relaunching Fruit Focus on 25 July at East Malling Research Centre, Kent. It was acquired as part of its purchase of Grower magazine and the Grower Awards last year.
