The event, which took place last week (25 September), was attended by 150 guests including Jamie Oliver and his family, as well as popular bloggers Alfie Deyes, Tanya Burr, Jim Chapman, Marcus Butler, Naomi Smart and Tyler Oakley.
Organised by Wonderland Events, the venue was transformed into Zoella’s own house for the night with over 1,000 helium balloons covering the ceilings. A mock bathroom was created in the venue's reception room, complete with a bronze bath filled with water and rose petals where guests could try the new range of bath fizzes and body mists.
A boudoir furnished with comfy beds and a row of dressing tables was set up in the Ann Rylands room for guests to check out the new beauty range before squeezing into a photobooth in the council chamber to capture their new Zoella looks.
41 Portland Place, which is part of the Harbour & Jones Events venue collection, treated guests to Prosecco and a specially created Pink Soft cocktail, made from fresh grapefruit juice and lime. Continuing the pastel styling right through to the food, guests ate savoury macaroons filled with salmon and roast beetroot, chicken with fig and port jelly, goats cheese with balsamic glazed cherry tomatoes and ham hock with apple and rosemary compote.
Erin Rice, 41 Portland Place’s sales manager, said: "It was great to see the venue transformed into Zoella’s house for the night. Our rooms have provided a fantastic backdrop to many events, but the bronze bath was certainly a first for us. The team did a fantastic job of making sure the guests at this special house party were treated to first class service and truly memorable food and drinks."
Zoella’s beauty range launched online on Friday (26 September) and sold out within hours. After the event Zoella tweeted: "Thank you so much to everyone who came tonight. I had such an amazing evening and I hope you did too."
