In pictures: Westfield unveils latest food experience

Westfield offered members of the press a sneak peek inside its new food-focused Indulgence experience in London last night (18 February).

Situated within Westfield London’s Atrium area, the offering is available for consumers to experience from today (19 February) until Sunday (21 February), and it will also travel to Westfield Stratford next weekend (26-28 February).

Shoppers are invited to visit four different rooms free of charge, and each features its own unique interior and theme.

The brightly coloured Guilty Pleasures room is complete with a game show-inspired wheel, which visitors are invited to spin. The number in which they land on will then determine the type of dish they receive, with options including prawn cocktail crisps, all butter cheese twists and custard.

Staff in white scientist suits host individuals in the Intensity room, which is brightly lit and completely white. Clear glass jars filled with steam are placed in the centre, and guests are invited to lift the lid to reveal a chocolate surprise.

Those who enter the Sumptuous Smells space are presented with six small pieces of Madeira cake, which they are instructed to taste as they step in front of six different ‘scent-trumpets’, each of which releases a different chocolate aroma.

Finally, the Rarest of Tastes room showcases some of the world’s most exclusive foods, such as caviar and Blumin white cheese.

Visitors will receive their own ‘passport’ upon entry to the experience, which they will be invited to stamp when they exit each room in order to receive an indulgent treat courtesy of M&S.

Condiment Junkie produced the experience, meanwhile M&S provided the ingredients used to create the different dishes.

Westfield also teamed up with Condiment Junkie last year to deliver an immersive experience, coined Tongue Twister.

Stay tuned for Event's exclusive interview with Westfield's chief marketing officer UK & Europe, Myf Ryan about the experience.
