From 10am to 8pm, passers-by were invited to don an Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset, which delivered 360-degree experiences of US cities including San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The top deck of the bus featured a pop-up shop where people could take advantage of special offers, including "book now, pay later" £29 flight deposit deals and savings on campervans, adventure tours and accommodation.
There were also opportunities to win £1,000 towards a road trip around the USA.
Downstairs featured a lounge area complete with a free coffee bar, meanwhile deckchairs were positioned outside of the bus.
The bus was manned by travel experts, who were able to provide travel information and advice.
Glen Mintrim, managing director, UK, USA and Africa at STA Travel, said: "This is our first ever mobile store and we are delighted to be working with Brand USA, as part of our ongoing 'Find Your State of Play' campaign.
"The tour is a great way to connect with potential customers across the country face-to-face and bring an interactive taste of the USA to them."
A partnership between STA Travel and Brand USA, the campaign sought to encourage people to visit the US.
The tour kicked off at the end of June, and it has since travelled to locations including Bristol, Nottingham and Brighton.
