The guests were told nothing more than the scheduled pick up point and time prior to the 9 June event.
Once inside the venue, students were treated to performances from B.Traits, Tom James and Big Narstie as well as a DJ set from Jungle. DJ Fresh performed as the headline act of the night.
Tash Shah, Spotify's head of marketing UK & Benelux, said: "This campaign was the culmination of our fantastic 2014-2015 UK Student Program. We managed to keep everything quiet, right up until the big reveal and had goosebumps when the hangar doors opened to kick off the event.
"The Spotify Secret Social was a phenomenal success and couldn't have happened without the expertise and creativity that the Seed team bring."
Prospective attendees were teased about the event throughout the academic year and encouraged to engage with Spotify online and on campus to win tickets to the show. The brand has confirmed it will create a similar campaign for 2016.
