Designed to promote Smart’s festive social media campaign, ‘Smart people get the party first’, the stunt saw a group of party-goers visit key destinations in the city such as Manchester Piccadilly station and Piccadilly Gardens to mingle with commuters in suits and sequined dresses. Both Moss Bros and Girl Meets Dress also showcased their latest products at the shoots.
Images from the campaign were uploaded on social media channels by passers-by. These were complemented by Smart’s Twitter competition to win a table at this year’s Smart Christmas Parties in London, Manchester or St Albans, which could be won by posting a party outfit selfie with the hashtag #MySmartSelfie.
The stunt was devised to encourage workers in Manchester to ‘Get to the party first’ and plan their seasonal festivities before winter sets in.
Christmas packages on offer from the group include Showgirls & High Rollers, a Las Vegas-themed offering to be held at Eventcity Manchester, and a Masquerade party at Battersea Evolution in London.
